After being inundated on social media with pictures of our stunning view, the new name of our social enterprise should come as no surprise. We are now proudly called The Cove! If you’ve been following us on social media, you might be confused about our two new websites. So here is the low down.
As a social enterprise, our mission at The Cove (as it’s always been) is to utilize money from tourism revenue to support community development projects. But we’ve run into a dilemma. Staying true to our natural building methodology means our construction timeline is slow, making that tourism revenue a distant mirage. But the community we live in is already actively engaged in bettering their local environment. And we want to be a part of that since we are now integrated into our community. So, we formed our nonprofit arm of the enterprise: The Cove Collective!
With our re-brand going live this past week, it means that Tudi Hamu will be phased out. With our re-brand going live this past week, it means that Tudi Hamu will be phased out. As a philosophy, tudi hamu will always be an integral part of how we move forward, working with our community. I hope you will all continue to be part of this journey. We may continue our blog on The Cove’s website in the future, but the most exciting content will be coming from our new YouTube channel.
